The walk that wasn’t a recce

Yesterday, the latest of the bank holidays we’ve been treated to, we made it back to Osmotherley for a walk, not a recce. Appropriate footwear and clothing was worn by all. This time, I was accompanied not only by Mr T, but also T2 and T3. What a pleasure!

We drove to Cod Beck, where we started our hike, promising ourselves ice creams on our return. Off we went, up over the moors. T2 was our navigator, and he soon brought us back down the village of Osmotherley where we stopped to share our nutritional supplies of Babybels, satsumas, Galaxy chocolate, and Nutrigrain bars. Then onwards once more to the reservoir, before finally tramping back through a wooded area, on to our original route and down for ice creams! Huzzah! All in all, about five miles. I felt so virtuous that when we got back home to York, I treated myself to another ice cream. Obvs.
